Born and raised in a tourism community in the Austrian Alps as the daughter of an electrical contractor, she developed an early understanding of entrepreneurship and the realities of running a business. She pursued an academic career at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, where her research focused on the factors that drive entrepreneurial success. Her academic work received several awards and laid the foundation for her enduring interest in what makes businesses thrive.
